Hi! Love your wolves. A little trick I learned by experimenting with the brush settings was that if you use the acrylic brush with a low opacity and lower the hardness you get realistic looking fur. And I do mean realistic. I've downloaded about every fur brush for Gimp there is (and quite a few PS brushes too) and MyPaint beats them all hands down. Then you can color the layer underneath it for the fur color of your choice.
